It started with the SIHH or Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie that showcased the Richemont Group’s latest productions, including Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and IWC. TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche
TAG Heuer’s long-time partnership with Porsche finally became official in 2021 as they entered into a ‘long-term and holistic collaboration’. And to pay homage and celebrate this old-new collaboration, TAG Heuer introduced a Porsche-themed Carrera.
The new 44mm timepiece features the text ‘Porsche’ engraved on the black ceramic bezel and the oscillating weight. Interestingly, the brand re-shaped the oscillating weight to look like a Porsche’s steering wheel. You can see it via the watch’s exhibition case-back.
Other features that nod to the leading motorsports brand include a black-and-grey colourway, index hour markers in Porsche’s font and the use of Porsche’s signature red colour. Moreover, TAG Heuer has designed the dial to resemble the asphalt.
Bulgari Octo Finissimo S GMT
Since its introduction in 2014, the Bulgari Octo Finissimo has received nearly six world records – the thinnest minute repeater, thinnest tourbillon, thinnest automatic tourbillon, lightest tourbillon chronograph, thinnest automatic chronograph and thinnest automatic.
Notable for its 8-sided ultra-thin design, the Octo Finissimo is becoming the watch face of Rome’s premier luxury conglomerate. However, for 2021, Bulgari has introduced the Octo Finissimo S GMT Chronograph featuring a polished steel body and blue sunray dial.
The watchmaker furnished the new GMT watch with a more prominent screw-down crown, making it water-resistant up to 100m.
Hublot Big Bang Integral Ceramic
Ideally, the first thing to like about the new Hublot, for starters, is its integrated bracelet. Secondly, one-material architecture will appeal to you. Everything is crafted of ceramic apart from the rubber components and the lugs on the crown and pushers. However, the significant fact is that the ceramic is scratch-resistant, more than twice as steel.
Zenith Chronomaster Revival A385
The latest Chronomaster Revival A385 is a genuine revival of a 1969’s stainless steel chronograph. The watch flaunts a brown gradient dial, and it perhaps the ever-first ‘smoked’ dial. In 2020, Bremont became the official timekeeping partner to Twickenham Stadium and England Rugby. Thus, the watchmaker introduced a red-white-and-blue watch to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Rugby Football Union foundation.
The Bremont RFU 150 flaunts a 43mm case, a bezel indicating full-time and half-time via red accents and a 24hour GMT hand. Moreover, the new chronometer comes with a rose engraving on its case-back.
Piaget Polo Skeleton
Piaget is known for two specialisms – ultra-thin movements and skeleton silhouette. The new Piaget Polo Skeleton is 30% thinner than the prevailing Polo models within the brand’s catalogue. The watch’s case measures 42mm and only 6.5mm thickness.
Moreover, Piaget offered the new Polo Skeleton its patented wafer-thin movement of only 2.4mm deep. Nonetheless, the movement has a power-reserve up to 44hours and is water-resistant up to a depth of 300m.
